Life In My City Arts Festival established in 2007 is an annual celebration of creativity featuring young talents in the Nigerian art landscape. The Grand Finale features works of art from young people across the country, selected from over 700 works exhibited annually in 11 exhibition centres across Nigeria. It is arguably the biggest art event in Nigeria with over 3 million Naira won in prizes every year. The festival has a side event for Children’s Art Workshop.

The National Gallery of Art, NGA, was established in fulfillment of the provisions of Nigeria’s Cultural Policy launched in 1988 in accordance with the recommendations of the committee of patrons of the World Decade for Cultural Development (WDCD) approved by UNESCO. The National Gallery of Art is responsible for the Identification, Classification, Presentation and Promotion of Nigeria Visual Art.

2022 Coal City University Essay Contest for Secondary School Students is organised in an effort to increase awareness of current global issues among the young population. It also aims to stimulate initiative and creative thinking abilities of young minds towards sustainable development. In addition, the essay contest seeks to get the society to learn from the young minds and to recognize that it is our collective responsibility to address these issues.
Coal City University (CCU) in Enugu State of Nigeria is a not-for-profit private university established in 2016. The University is a globally focused and fast-rising university in Nigeria. The University aspires to be a world-class centre of learning and research that will produce well-rounded, entrepreneurial, and globally employable graduates.
The theme for year 2022 contest is “Climate Change.”
